Esperienza fantastica: Lisa and the Your Wedding in Florence team literally created a fairytale wedding. Living in the US and trusting YWIF to manage and create a masterpiece without seeing anything outside of pictures was a leap of faith, and they delivered and then some! The planning process was easy and stress-free, Lisa was so organized and had everything mapped out. The vendors were amazing and we were able to email and call with any question. When it came time for our wedding, not a detail was missing or wrong. They totally nailed everything and this review does not do it justice. From the timeline to the execution to the support we had the entire day, we were beyond lucky to have them as our planners. Esperienza fantastica: I got married in Florence 2 weeks ago and I can wholeheartedly say that my wedding could NOT have been more magical, seamless and unforgettable for myself, my husband and our guests. This all would not have been possible without Lisa and her team Paula and Ciprian. My now husband and I, had been working with Lisa for the last 2 years planning all of the details big and small. We had visited Florence twice in a year to see Lisa and she was always available for us to do site visits and vendor visits and just be there for us. We were married in the music room of the Santa Croce by Baglioni Hotels. It was incredibly romantic and very well organised. Lisa paid so much attention to the little details, everything from our personalised menus and setting up scenes for our wedding photos. Lisa really listened to what we wanted and communicated everything so well in the planning process. This was honestly the best choice we made, we looked at other companies but we knew after speaking to Lisa that this was the one. It felt very stress free and the day flowed really naturally without any problems. Lisa put us in touch with the Hair & Make up Artist, celebrant and photographer so we could go through all the details, and they were all wonderful. We really appreciate all the choices and effort make for our wedding by Lisa and the rest of her team. To also mention the hotel experience at the Santa Croce was incredible. The food for our wedding in the private dining room was definitely one of the best meals we have ever had! Not to mention with stunning local wine pairings. Thank you also to the staff there who were warm and welcoming, they really made the stay memorable. We have promised ourselves to come back to stay for our anniversaries! From the very beginning, Lisa made our elopement ceremony truly unforgettable. Her dedication and expertise ensured that every detail went off without a hitch, and we couldn't have done it without her. We worked with Lisa for several months leading up to our special day, and throughout that time, she was consistently responsive and always met her deadlines. She introduced us to a fantastic selection of vendors and took the time to understand our vision, helping us select the perfect ones that suited our style. Beyond the ceremony, she assisted with everything from car service to train rides, making our entire trip as seamless as possible. When we finally met Lisa in person the evening before our ceremony, it was like reuniting with an old friend. She’s just as warm and personable in person as she was in our virtual meetings. Esperienza fantastica: Amazing experience on organising the best day of my life in a stunning location. Lisa was always responsive and ready to answer my questions during the planning stages.

Esperienza negativa: Your Wedding in Florence met their contractural obligations for our wedding coordination package. However, we would not work with them again nor recommend their services to others. We met with Viola Focardi via video call in May 2023. We liked her and felt confident in her ability to serve as a day-of coordinator for our June 2024 wedding. In late June, we visited Florence, and Viola joined us at the meeting with our venue. During the meeting, a YWF associate named Lisa Pazzagli joined the meeting late. She appeared to be an intern or assistant, taking notes and observing the meeting. Just a few weeks later, we received an automated “Out of Office” reply that Viola was starting maternity leave (which was briefly referenced in-person but not clearly defined). It instructed us to contact Lisa in her absence for any needs. In August, we contacted Lisa via email and confirmed in writing whether Viola would be the planner for the event. We were told that she would return in January, and “Viola will be present in June, do not worry, she will be there for you.” As our planning progressed, we looped Lisa in as instructed on the occasional message, primarily coordinating with a Catholic church in Florence. Come January, there was no communication of if/when Viola was returning. We continued copying Lisa on the occasional message. Since our contract did not formally start until a month before the wedding, we were not concerned. However, as soon as the contract began on May 24th, we saw a break down in Lisa’s communication. One example includes the coordination of the SIAE license. Lisa mentioned this additional nearly 500 euro required fee just 1 week prior to the event despite our being in contact for a year. As a result, we had not been able to properly budget. Following this, we once again asked about Viola’s return and were told that she would not be attending because “the child is still very young,” so Lisa would be serving as the coordinator in her place. We requested an in-person meeting two days before the event to review everything and ensure we were all on the same page. On the day of the event, Lisa did as the contract outlined, albeit not very well. We had several guests step in when it came to coordination and flow of the event. During the aperitivo and dinner, she was inaccessible when we had an issue with dinner service (a result of the table being moved under the terrace due to rain), and the bride had to leave the table to go find her chatting with other vendors over wine because she was not responding to texts. When the kitchen ran out of alcohol early in the evening (an estimation mistake), Lisa approached the bride and groom at dinner to have a conversation within earshot of other guests. She agreed that someone could go get more alcohol, but she needed the bride and groom to pay cash on the spot. Naturally, this led to an awkward and embarrassing exchange that all nearby parties were privy to. We recognize that no service staff is required to go purchase more alcohol during an event, and we are grateful for that intervention. However, it was the bride who flagged the problem — after it was already an issue — not Lisa. Had our day-of coordinator been present in the kitchen or upstairs at dinner, she could have seen the empty glasses and disjointed dinner service that indicated an issue. We feel the primary problem in this scenario was her method of communication, tactlessness, and general presence (or lack thereof). After reading countless positive reviews for Your Wedding in Florence, we’re confused about and disappointed with our experience. Overall, we feel frustrated about the miscommunication regarding Viola’s maternity leave. If we had met with Lisa originally, we would not have hired her or worked with YWF generally.

It is extremely hard to figure out a venue, set up, decorations, photographers etc. by yourself especially when you are from a different country, but Lisa and her team took all the worrying away. Lisa helped plan everything from start to finish and was there to support every part of the way. It was perfect and I truly would not have been able to pull this off without her!

As the Owner and Principal Planner of an Event Planning Firm in the States, it was imperative that we hired a professional boots on the ground team for our destination wedding. One can image that when you're hiring an entity in the industry that you too work within, the task can be challenging; the bar, very high! After interviewing just 2 teams, I quickly said YES to YWIF as our wedding planning team. In the months leading towards our destination wedding, our Planners, Chiara + Viola, did not miss a beat. Esperienza fantastica: It will be hard to express how absolutely wonderful Your Wedding in Florence was to me- but I will try below. I booked my original wedding venue 11 months before my scheduled wedding date. This venue came with a coordinator that I booked all of my vendors through. 3 months before my date, my coordinator quit her job at the venue & we could no longer get a response from the villas owner. All of our guests were coming from the US- flights booked, PTO approved, etc. As you can imagine, I started to panic. I reached out to YWiF praying they would be able to help us, and I am SO thankful I did (also grateful my wedding was on a Thursday because I know they would’ve been booked otherwise). Chiara & Viola immediately eased my stress & handled everything like the absolute badasses they are (am I allowed to cuss?whatever). I was starting from scratch 2 months before my date, but you would've never known! They were amazing to work with from our very first call. Our day turned out to be absolutely magical & I 100% owe it to my girls at YWiF. I feel I should also add- I own a hair & makeup company so I work with very accomplished wedding planners in the states regularly. Viola was incredibly friendly and cared very much about getting to know us and our style. Our wedding was held at a beautiful venue outside of Florence on October 6th. The team was able to organize all details during a short planning period of 6 months! Viola's venue and vendor recommendations were top notch and it made it very easy to trust her expertise. Viola and her team have a great eye for planning a beautiful day, and this went a long way for us as we planned our wedding from the US. Our planner, Viola, was very knowledgeable and takes care to guide you in the right direction, which is really helpful when you’re planning a destination wedding and don’t know the area, event rules, or vendors in the region. Viola always did a great job finding the best vendors for us, and when she did, she negotiated a price with them on our behalf so we stayed within (or below!) our budget. Viola also helped us secure our rehearsal dinner location and performed such a lovely rehearsal with us in the city center the day before our wedding, complete with a tour and some information about her favorite spots in the city.
