Esperienza fantastica: We could not have been happier with Sicilian Wedding Day! Emma and Simona really took care of us. We planned our intimate Sicilian wedding from halfway across the globe in fewer than five months at a time when one of us was finishing a graduate degree and working part time and the other was working close to 80 hours per week. Needless to say, we were not always on top of the ball. Luckily, Emma and Simona were – they kept us on top of all details, deadlines, and decisions, and, thanks to them, everything went off without a hitch. They were incredibly professional, creative, helpful, calm, patient, and reassuring when we needed it (for example, when Mt. Etna started erupting two days before the wedding) and they were with us every step of the way to make sure that we did not have to worry about anything. They also knew exactly who to bring into the fold to produce the perfect event – the vendors we worked with were all professional and the services they provided were excellent. Aside from being organized, these two have a talent for bringing your tastes and ideas together into a single, beautiful vision. We would come to them with a half-formed thought about what we wanted or a few photos of things we had seen and liked, and they somehow brought all of these disparate elements together for the most beautiful event we could have imagined. Esperienza fantastica: When we started the wedding planning process we were determined that despite what people said we would be fine without a planner. We knew we wanted a destination wedding in Sicily but quickly realised that trying to plan it from Canada where we live was quite challenging. Since neither of us speak Italian we were running into language barriers and realised that this exciting time of our lives was much more stressful than it needed to be. We learnt more in 30 minutes over Skype with Emma than we did from 2 months of personal research. We described our wedding vision and they provided multiple locations which far exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have imagined that level of professionalism, responsiveness, patience and support we received from these experienced, talented women. They followed up on details we hadn’t even considered. For example Adam is a DJ in his spare time so music was very important to us. Emma and Simona not only reassured us but also arranged for my husband to DJ a set during the dancing portion of the night. We cannot recommend them enough! Esperienza fantastica: Emma and Simona were simply brilliant. Perhaps unlike some others, we really didn’t know exactly what we wanted our wedding to be like. But from our first call with Emma, and our venue scouting trip with Emma and Simona, we were filled with confidence that we had found the right people to help us plan our wedding. They shared their expertise and extensive experience; have exceptional organisational and communication skills; and have an amazing ability to keep calm and remove stress from any situation. They knew when we needed a nudge or might benefit from a suggestion, and when we needed time to make up our own minds. We really appreciated their patience (which we’re pretty sure we tested at several points!) in responding to our endless questions and their wisdom in knowing what might work best for us even before we did! There was no way we could have coordinated guests flying in from around the world and events over three days without them. No detail was left to chance and well before the big day, we knew absolutely all the arrangements were in place – they even arranged brilliant sunshine across the weekend despite the weather forecast looking a bit wet a week out! On the day (and at the welcome drinks the night before), having Emma and Simona there was invaluable. We were totally relaxed knowing that they had everything in hand. We wanted all of our friends and family, who had travelled such a long way to have the very best time – and they did. Esperienza fantastica: We decided to get married in Taormina on 7th July 2017. So I started to look at ‘Wedding Co-ordinators’ in Sicily and came across Emma. As soon as I spoke to Emma I felt like I would be in safe hands. She came across as very calm and friendly and easy to talk to so I decided to proceed. Emma was brilliant throughout the whole process. Every time emailed her and called her I would get a swift response and she understood exactly what I wanted. The makeup artist and hair stylist that she recommended were fantastic and created the perfect look. The Photographer – Nunzio Bruno, again an excellent choice and he captured our special day perfectly. The flowers and musicians were great. The ceremony venue and our wedding dinner on the Terrace of the El Jebel Ciampoli restaurant have left lasting memories for us to remember forever. On the day everything ran like clockwork. Everyone and everything was on time and perfect. I cannot thank Emma and Simona enough for the effort and attention to detail that was given to our special day and would highly recommend their services.

Esperienza fantastica: Emma and Simona were absolutely everything we could have hoped for our wedding planners. The combination of Emma as a native English speaker and Simona as a Sicilian we found really worked and helped us capture some of the British cultural nuances together with some Sicilian magic. They were very easy to deal with and Emma kept us on track and organised - we just wouldn't have been able to do it without them. Our original wedding day was 2020 and they helped us move it not once but twice, and went above and beyond to make sure we got the day we wanted despite the disruption. We couldn't recommend them more.

As we are based in the UK and speak very limited Italian, it was important to us to hire wedding planners we could trust to help us organise our big day. They gave us as much support and guidance as we needed before and during the event, making sure everything went to plan. They were able to recommend an amazing florist and photographer and happy to work with our choice of location and band. Esperienza fantastica: You have probably stumbled upon this testimonial after searching for hours, days, or perhaps months trying to find the perfect venue for your long-desired Italian wedding. What part of Italy should we go to? A villa in Tuscany? A Medieval castle in Umbria? A vineyard in Sicily? The answer to all of these questions is: Yes. Italy is a country blessed with an embarrassment of riches when it comes to planning the perfect wedding. We were there too! While we hadn’t thought to go to Sicily, by happenstance, or perhaps fate, we stumbled across Sicilian Wedding Day’s website and sent a note to Emma. After a brief chat, we were impressed by her candour, pleasant demeanour, and exuding a confidence that quietly said « I got your back ». Fundamentally that’s what you need when planning an unreasonable destination wedding. Because frankly, what do we know about organizing food, flowers, photographers, DJ’s, venues and caterers. Will someone rip you off? What if a supplier doesn’t show up? What’s the Plan B if it rains, or even if the volcano erupts? That’s why we hired Emma and her company, and we could not have been happier. We ended up at a magical venue known as the Casa delle terre forti, overlooking the Cyclopes and the Ionian sea, just north of Catania. Our guests, who came from Canada, the USA, Ireland and France, were gobsmacked by the beauty of the location, the superb food choices, the music and dancing, and the fact that everything ran like clockwork. Esperienza fantastica: Emma and Simona were so helpful from start to finish. It’s safe to say decision making is not our strongest point but Emma always helped us to come to a decision that we felt was our own and not forced or pushed towards. We had good communication throughout the planning and although we couldn’t get out to see our venue before our big day we knew the minute we saw it on our very dodgy fictive connection that it was going to be just perfect for us. We found lots of videos online and Emma and Simona sent across the videos they took when they did the first site visit so we were comfortable with saying yes. Questions were answered quickly and payments were spread out which made budgeting so much easier too. The night before our wedding we organised a meal for the wedding party and guests which we could not have done without them. Our lack of speaking Sicilian and a big party of English guests meant that Emma and Simona jumped in to help us (when they were meant to be relaxing!) when the meals came out and this took a huge pressure off of us. Otherwise I think we’d still be figuring out who was having what now! On the day itself we felt so at ease and comfortable with Emma and Simona running everything. The day ran so smoothly and effortlessly that we didn’t have to worry about anything. Both Emma and Simona told us when and where things were happening and they asked us questions if they needed answers beforehand so that everything went without a hitch. We were so grateful they could be a part of our day and cannot thank them enough for all the did. One thing we wish is that they could have stayed later for more of a party with us!

Esperienza fantastica: I am not exaggerating when I say that the wedding Emma and Simona created for us was better than anything we could have ever imagined. My husband and I live in the US and had 60 guests fly into Sicily for our wedding - Emma was so thoroughly on top of every detail that we felt 0% of that pressure. She answered every question before we knew to ask and made every decision effortless. Their knowledge of / connections with vendors across Sicily made it possible for us to stay within our budget without sacrificing quality. Our pictures are out of a magazine. The food was to die for. We've since had friends get engaged and ask us for Emma's contact info. Nearly all of our guests repeatedly told us it was, hands down, the best wedding they had ever attended. Planning an international wedding is a huge undertaking, and we could not have done a fraction of what Emma and Simona did for us.
